Tony Blair Caught Telling The Truth

In a shocking non-spin slip up, British Prime Minister Tony Blair was cold busted telling us he views Iraq as 'pretty much a disaster'. This is comforting in the sense that it proves he isn't inhabiting the same parallel universe that Cheney, Bush, and Rumsfeld reside; however my sense is that both the British public right now, and more broadly history itself, will not be kind to Mr. Blair and his unfathomably poor decision to support this war.

Even the neocons, are jumping ship.

I still think Blair would go along, even if he knew, what he knows now.

British empire is still in his mind.

The corker appears just a bit later in the interview when he says . . .

Blair replied: "It has, but you see what I say to people is why is it difficult in Iraq? It's not difficult because of some accident in planning, it's difficult because there's a deliberate strategy -- al Qaeda with Sunni insurgents on one hand, Iranian-backed elements with Shia militias on the other -- to create a situation in which the will of the majority for peace is displaced by the will of the minority for war."

So the plan would have worked just fine as long as the other side staid on script, is that the implication?
