In fact, Prime Minister Pierre Trudeau strongly opposed the Vietnam War, which is why he INVITED American draft-dodgers to come up here where he offered them safe refuge. Unfortunately, although Canada has strongly opposed the Iraq war all along, neither Paul Martin nor Stephen Harper have been willing to go out on a limb like Trudeau did. Perhaps that could change in the next election.
Coulter is no less ignorant of Canada than most Americans though...I don't see why she'd bother going on CBC television. (That's their logo in the bottom right corner)
I agree with poorlydrawnlife - but we should also take issue when people believe she's serious, and then disagree with the things she says. She's just not worth taking seriously. I can't be bothered to refute her.
Meh. Canada didn't send troops, but the largest contingent of soldiers fighting in American uniform who weren't Americans were Canadians. She is wrong, but it isn't quite as crazy as you guys seem to think it is. Canadians were coming down and joining up just to fight in the war and then go home, and many Canadians supported that policy.
The video closes with, "Just for the record, like Iraq, Canada sent no troops to Vietnam."
It would have been a bit more forthcoming and "balanced" if the narrator added, "However, Canada does have a couple of thousand troops in Afghanistan." But that would have somewhat blunted the point.

Our heroine needs to bolster her arguments with some facts, eh? I wonder how far Ms. Coulter is from implosion?
It's hard work being a revisionist.
Coultergeist...
Her act amuses me. What angers me is that people believe she's serious, and then agree with the things she says.
yep, left or right, if you don't know what you're talking about, you should just keep quiet. Thanks by the way for the comment on my blog....
Jesus fuck. Why'd she think potential draftees were fleeing to Canada, hm? They really dug the Mounties and the maple syrup? whadda maroon.
Can't talk to a psycho like a normal human being...
Grudge-fuck candidate Ann Coulter.......not. Couldn't do it....well is she would shut up....nah still couldn't.
She's such a disgrace...I wonder if her sheep are in denial when she does dumb shit like that...
uh, yeah.
bet she came out the next day with something like, 'ok, Canada was wrong back then. and it's the liberal's fault.'

That is hilarious! She is just so out of touch!
If she wasn't such a heartless a*s and so ridiculously wrong about most of the things she says, she could have potential just by passion alone.
But passion + stupidity = pundits like her.
You have to wonder if that woman is crazy or just a decent actress.
Thanks for commenting on my site, and pointing out this video. Nice marriage of Blogger and YouTube!

Minor Ripper, dude - you don't need to keep dumping multiples of your Ann Coulter post into my blog just because I mention her more than once, really.
Once was enough. Something new, or don't expend the effort, please?
No, I don't think she's an actress. I think she's an actor. A talented dude playing a wacko babe. Eww!
