The worst part of this is getting glazed over - it's the egregious use of a Patriot Act "loop-hole" which allows the Executive branch to dictate Judicial appointees WITHOUT Congressional approval. How in any way is this ability related to terrorism, the primary reason for signing the Patriot Act into law in the first place? Another way to say this is, the Bush administration has added power to the presidency, over another branch of government (Judicial), and under the cover of "fighting terrorism" to further a political ideology. This action does nothing to help the justice of the American people, and should be undone in future congressional hearings. Keep in mind this "loop-hole" can be abused by any president, not just our current one.

Jon Stewart can really get to the truth of things.
