In my mind it's pretty well certain that neither John nor Cindy McCain voted for George W. Bush in 2000, and moreover it appears that back then at least he had little respect for Mr. Bush's cognitive abilities. The John McCain of 2008 is a very different political animal of the John McCain of 8 years ago. He has not only nearly completely embraced the Bush foreign and domestic policy agendas, as the Obama campaign is trying to communicate, a McCain presidency could very much look like a third Bush term. The question is, what happened? The answer is that McCain has sold his soul to try and become president.
