It's been in the news recently that Bill Richardson withdrew his name from consideration as Commerce Secretary in the new Obama administration under cloudy circumstances. After digging into the story a bit, the circumstances are no longer cloudy.Look, it's a given that all major politicians and elected officials lie. It's part of the job. Still, there's something to be said for doing so in let's just say an 'elegant' way. That means lying every now and then but not getting caught.
I've been a consistent big fan on this page of New Mexico governor Bill Richardson, even calling him the most qualified candidate for president from either party during the 2008 campaign.
Well, after reading this article, I'm not so much of a big fan anymore. It turns out that Bill Richardson is an inelegant liar. Indeed as it turns out he appears to be a sloppy, somewhat congenital liar.
