2012 on the Minds of GOP Governors Crist and Sanford

I still believe Mitt Romney is the odds on favorite to be the Republican party's presidential nominee in 2012, but as this article discusses, two of his potential rivals are current Florida governor Charlie Crist and current South Carolina governor Mark Sanford.

Sanford is from the hard right Rush Limbaugh fringe of the GOP's base, and Crist is a Schwarzenneger-type, pragmatic, moderate Republican who actually campaigned with Obama in support of the recently passed economic stimulus bill.

Lots of buzz about current Louisiana governor Bobby Jindal as well, but Romney's the 'next in line' for the GOP--a party that has historically rewarded loyalty....
