Obama Hits The Road

After spending two plus weeks giving a Herculean effort to be bipartisan and trying to woo Republicans over to support his economic stimulus plan, a jilted Obama will today begin an altogether new coercion strategy on his erstwhile GOP foes: blunt force.

As this article reports, he will hit the road and begin using his enormous popularity with the American people to directly make his case.  

The GOP has already overplayed its hand, and the party is currently experiencing a leadership void: it has no one single figure it can turn to to try and stand up to Obama, and the American people continue to suffer as the economy hemorrhages jobs.

Obama 1, Republicans 0.  Expect a more pliant GOP from now on.
