Obama Shoots for the Moon

Rahm Emanuel and Barack Obama have decided to strike out against the hobbled, divided Republicans now.  Very early.

To its supporters, Obama's new budget will finally address issues long overdue in America: universal health care, investment in developing new 'green technology' to wean us off of foreign oil and help prevent global warming, high speed rail, etc.

To its critics--and there will be many, it represents a massive lurch towards the left and Socialism.  By taxing the 'wealthy' now, at a time when the country's in recession, to pay for all of these new expenses and obligations, is a prescription for disaster.

Rahm Emanuel is Barack Obama's Karl Rove, his consigliere if you will.  The picture above is worth a thousand words.  He's led Congressional Democrats to sweeping wins in both 2006 and 2008.  The Republicans are at an all time low, a divided, crippled, enfeebled rival.  

Obama's shooting for the moon.  

The likely outcome will be compromise but still a healthy Obama win.
