AIG: Much Ado About Nothing

I mean $150 million is real money, sure, but in terms of the hundreds of billions of dollars that have already gone to bailout these zombie banks and other financial institutions, $150 million is chicken shit.  

Irrelevant except for the grand political theatre emanating from Washington that we are seeing now in real time.  You see, our elected officials--whores that they are,  can sense a political opportunity from a mile away and are busy milking this thing for all the political mileage they can get.

Taxpayer waste?  Let's talk some waste. How about the billions and billions of dollars that have been flushed down the toilet over the past 6 years in that hell hole known as Iraq.  This is my all time favorite taxpayer waste story.  No surprise it involves Iraq.

So please spare me the outrage over these AIG bonuses.  Is it bad?  Yes.  But not that bad.  Compared with what else has gone on over the past few years, it's a pin prick.
