Newt Gingrich Says Third Party Possible for 2012

This page has written ad naseum of the various ills that afflict today's Republican party--a party currently leadership except for the likes of Sarah Palin, Rush Limbaugh, and Michael Steele.

Newt is stating the obvious when he warns of the development of a third party in time for the next presidential election.  

Anti-government Libertarians already supported Ron Paul in 2008, even though he ran as a Republican, and it's very possible that more of the 'true' conservatives align themselves again with Paul but this time in greater numbers in 2012.  

Indeed it makes a lot of sense for Paul to run as a Libertarian next time around, something I bet he's seriously considering.

I see no way whatsoever for the party to regain the presidency by 2012.  It is a splintered, muddled, mess.
