North Korea Nuke Test: Who Cares?

The frenzied media mania that follows every nuclear test blast these days never fails to surprise me, most recently the reaction yesterday to North Korea's underground explosion.

Don't people realize that North Korea is a poor, sparsely populated country that WOULD BE IMMEDIATELY EXTERMINATED if they actually launched a feeble nuclear attack on another country?  

I mean, nuclear weaponry is what, a 60 or 70 year old technology anyway, right?  It's only a matter of time before virtually every meaningful nation becomes a nuclear power...

And you know what?

It might just make the world a safer place for all of us.
