It's hard to believe that just one year ago, this guy was front and center of the American political debate after being thrust there by a desperate McCain campaign.

You might have thought the campaign would have done a second or two of a background check on Joe, and they then might have realized the guy can't walk and chew gum at the same time, and is also a homophobe racist.

But no, this was the same merry band of Keystone Cops that chose Sarah Palin as McCain's running mate...
