Coffee Shops Cut Back on Laptops and Electricity Use

This is a pretty funny story. It seems as if the days of free Internet and free electricity in coffee shops are coming to an end...

Droves of unemployed workers sipping dollar coffees taking up space while surfing the net, as it turns out, is not a particularly good business practice for shop owners...

Go figure!

I can make coffee at home. The only reason I go to a coffee shop (and I only go to ones with free internet, or a shop that's not Starbucks) is to get out of the house and use the internet.

I have no reason to go to these establishments again...

Very poor business move

I agree with Messenger. And how widespread is this, I wonder? I just don't see turning away customers, especially in this economy, being a smart business move at all. Also, who charges $1.00 for coffee anymore? Closer to $2 for a basic latte.
