Rothenberg: GOP Senate Prospects for 2010 Brighten

With Obama's popularity slipping, it no longer seems certain that the Republicans will lose additional seats in the 2010 midterm Senate elections, as this article from America's pre-eminent non-partisan political prognosticator Stu Rothenberg reports.

It's important to note that Rothenberg mentions nothing about the GOP actually improving their 60-40 minority, just that the bleeding may have stopped.

The smart money is that the GOP Senate deficit increases, to 61-39, or 62-38...something like that.
