Afghanistan Bubbles Up

Afghanistan has been America's forgotten war for several years now, but that is starting to change as the body count rises.

Stretching back thousands of years to the time of Alexander the Great, no foreign power has ever conquered the Afghan territory.

Most recently, back in the 1980's, Afghanistan kicked the Soviet Union's ass right back to Moscow, an event many consider to be the spark that led to the end of the Soviet empire.

Don't look now, but history is repeating itself as yet another in a long line of 'superpowers' is getting humiliated in Afghanistan; in a war seemingly with no meaning and no end in sight.

Moral of the story?

Don't fuck with Afghanistan.
