Make no mistake about it, it's not a question of 'if' Jeb Bush eventually runs for president, it's a question of 'when'. As this story points out, he's currently being coy on the topic...The vastly more intelligent of the Bush brothers harbors deep, widely known presidential ambitions.
But would America be prepared to elect another Bush so soon after the debacle of George W. Bush?
The answer is probably yes, unfortunately: humans are like sheep, and not very far from where we were in the Dark Ages, where vassals, noblemen, and the aristocracy led the peasants around by the nose.
It's patently un-American for someone to become a president, governor, or elected official based largely on their lineage, bloodline, or last name. I don't care if it's a Bush, or a Kennedy.
Europeans do that nonsense, not Americans. We are supposed to be the world's first pure meritocracy. We don't have a fucking royal line. You eat what you kill in life.
