New York Times Chief: Drudge is a 'Just a fad..'

If Bill Keller really believes this, it goes a long way towards explaining why the New York Times as well as most major world newspapers are going out of business....

Does Drudge lie, exaggerate, spread meaningless gossip, and generally make the world a worse place by drastically lowering the quality of the debate?

Yes to all of the above.

But he's been around for over a decade now and he's clearly not a 'fad'. He more than anyone ushered in the Internet and the digital age as a political vehicle, and the entire right wing establishment continue to bow at his altar.

Mr. Keller: Drudge is your enemy, and he and the Internet are here to stay....
