John Kerry--All Class

The below a nice little tidbit I found in today's New York Post...

Sen. John Kerry, a Vietnam veteran, may have done a good deed the other night at the Oak Bar in the Plaza Hotel. The Democrat had a quick bite and drink with his daughter,Alexandra, near a group of 25 Marines with the top brass of the USS New York. When the leather necks were done and asked for the bill, they learned someone had grabbed their check and paid it in cash. "We don't know who," said one source. "It was over $1,000."
Kerry was unfairly lampooned as an effete Boston Brahman during the 2004 presidential campaign.

Even more outrageously, he was portrayed as being a disloyal, poor soldier by the right wing smear machine.

Did he run a shitty campaign back in '04? Absolutely. Getting photographed at NASA in the outfit at the right during the heat of the campaign speaks to that...

Five years ago guys like Dick Cheney, Karl Rove, Rush Limbaugh, and W himself--every single one of them chickenhawk pussies who dodged serving in Vietnam when their country called had the balls to portray Kerry as being un-American.

That still burns me up, even thinking about it....

Kerry, to his credit, never stopped working hard, even after losing in 2004 and is now a key foreign policy advisor to President Obama.

Well done Senator.

Alice,

Thanks again for stopping by. You voted for George Bush, Jr. in 2004, right?

Just curious.

It is good to see this fine man finally get some credit for all his hard work. I think time has taught us that he would have been a good president. And, that lies, smears and fear tactics from opposing political opperatives should not be beleived.
With President Kerry, our country would have been much better off now.

What choice was there? Kind of like this past election....it's like deciding which murderer you want, but either way you're just as dead. McCain is a big ZERO. He and Bushbama sleep in the same bed. The only person I follow today is Ron Paul.

With Kerry...our country would be farther down the tubes than it is now. Socialism never has, never will work.

Alice,

In an effort to shrink government and reduce socialism, would you advocate reducing the number of border control agents stationed on the Mexican border?

Thanks in advance for your answer.

My brother was a Minute Man (I'm sure you find that shocking). He sees first hand whats the illegals do to a town, property, parks, etc. It's a horror of filth plus the crime.
But let us look at this from the REAL stand point. Food. As large corporations began to take over our food production (which is another abomination), they BUSED IN illegals to do the work for next to nothing in wages. This went on for quite a while. Now we have a major problem. These companies are getting busted for having illegals (who are not paying into the tax system), the company is making millions more than they would have by paying them under minimum wage and the gov't is losing out. Not to mention the treatment and work conditions the illegals suffered under. Now this 'gov't' wants them shipped back and the borders patrolled. With the North American Union well under way it is insanity to spend anything on this when the borders will be opened up and a whole new money system adopted along with the dismantling of the United States as an independent country. The corruption going on is so unbelievably out of control it makes my head spin.
In the meantime, I have NO problem with anyone coming into this country but do it legally. I had many Hispanics work for me and I have heard heart-breaking stories. I have seen the lost digits from the meat packing plants. I know the treatment they received. I know that treating them like human beings and with dignity and respect made a huge difference to them. They are people who need homes, food, medical care just like everyone else. They are not some"thing" that is a problem. They're people trying to escape starvation in their own country.

You may wish to include drug patrol here as well in the issue of border patrol....simple answer. Legalize it. Look up Ron Paul's feeling on this. I agree 100%. However we once again have an entire (very large) group that would be put out of work (DARE, drug enforcement, etc etc etc..not to mention fewer in prison and prison is ANOTHER big business).

Like I always say...nothing is slower than the second coming of Christ. But I don't think we'll have to wait much longer. At least I sure hope not.
