New York City Can Handle the Terrorist Trials

It's always puzzled me how the rest of America voted for George W. Bush in 2004 to 'keep us safe', whereas the residents of New York City--the place by a factor of like 10x most likely to be attacked by terrorists, voted for John Kerry to the tune of about 75%

A bit of a head scratcher, right??

These days the Obama administration is
under fire by Republicans for plucking the master mind of the 9/11 attacks out of the Gitmo torture chambers and into New York City to finally (after nearly a decade) stand trial for the atrocity.

As a resident of New York City for the past 10 years, Minor Ripper has a message to Peoria and the rest of the country: Thanks for you concern, but we can handle ourselves. You might be afraid, but we are not. Below is what NYC Mayor Michael Bloomberg has to say on the matter:
“I support the Obama Administration’s decision to prosecute 9/11 terrorists here in New York. It is fitting that 9/11 suspects face justice near the World Trade Center site where so many New Yorkers were murdered. We have hosted terrorism trials before, including the trial of Omar Abdel-Rahman, the mastermind of the 1993 World Trade Center bombing. When I spoke to Attorney General Holder earlier today, I told him New York City stands ready to assist the federal court in the administration of justice in any way necessary. I have great confidence that the NYPD, with federal authorities, will handle security expertly. The NYPD is the best police department in the world and it has experience dealing with high-profile terrorism suspects and any logistical issues that may come up during the trials.”

Case closed. You see, we are pretty thick skinned here in the Big Apple and can handle ourselves.

Now go attack Obama for something else.

Now go attack Obama for something else.

Health care insanity

Global warming swindle

Still is unwilling to produce that birth certificate and solve this "mystery" once and for all.

Printing Obamabucks and rewarding big corps.

For saying America is not a Christian country.

Refusing to put his hand over his heart for the pledge.

For refusing to admit he is truly Muslim.

For creating fear if someone speaks out against him.

For promoting a false pandemic (swine flu is not a threat!)

Shall I go on?

Thanks for your comment Alice.

Should Muslims be barred from becoming president in your opinion Alice?

Convert or die.
I guess it depends on if you wish for religious freedom to continue here or if you wish to convert. What do you think?

I believe in our constitution more than I'm afraid of Muslims Alice, or any religion for that matter. Maybe that's just me--

Ripper,

I hope you truly DO believe in our Constitution. I know I do. And I'm fighting with everything I've got to preserve what is left of it. If the dark side continues to butcher it, there will be only crumbs where there was once an entire cake for all Americans. And the rats and roaches we call elected officials will take those crumbs as well.

We are people...not cattle.

FIGHT FOR GOD AND COUNTRY.

thanks Alice, but back to my question:

should Muslims be prohibited from becoming president?

how about Jews?

Buddhists?

thanks in advance for your response!

This is a country with freedom of religion. You can be anything you wish and not be dragged off to prison for it. How precious and wonderful that is.

Can anyone of any faith be president? Sure. AS LONG AS THEY ARE A ELIGIBLE LEGAL CITIZEN AND ACTUALLY DO PROTECT THE CONSTITUTION AND SERVE THE AMERICAN PEOPLE as a whole.
Plus I don't care if they're green with purple polka dots and have 12 toes. They are there to serve the country and when they swear that oath, they should keep it. Sadly, none have done that for quite a while.

What we wouldn't give for someone who would take that oath to heart. In my personal opinion, #36-44 have totally sucked. They're bought and paid for. They sold us out.

There are several quotes from the Qur'an that should help you understand their line of thinking much better.
