Any American citizen who can say with a straight face that our health care system isn't completely fucked up and dysfunctional would be lying.
I must admit I did not read the fine print of the bill that just passed, but I am confident that ANY reform to the existing system is a step in the right direction.
The fact of the matter is that America already has a 'universal' health care system: if anyone gets sick or hit by a bus--whether that person is rich or poor, insured or uninsured, that person will get treated by a doctor 100%
If that person can't pay, well then the government picks up the tab. The problems are that neither the patient or the doctors themselves could give a fuck what anything costs because no one knows or cares! Doctors under the current system are incentivized to run up costs by piling on unnecessary treatments, etc.
It is, indeed, the very definition of dysfunction. Those who play by the rules and try to purchase health care for themselves and their families are forced to subsidize shit like the above and have gotten crushed--they simply can't afford it.
Well done President Obama and the entire Democratic party. We have taken one small step to catching up to the entire rest of the civilized world with regards to the health care of our citizenry...

Yes, it is messed up thanks to a lot of corruption. Now we will have MORE corruption. That should help (kill a lot of babies and elderly). Free enterprise is the ONLY way to fix this. Let the insurance companies COMPETE in multiple states. Prices will PLUMMET.
We must also pull the plug on pharmaceutical companies. They raise the cost of health care as well plus the 'legal' drugs they push are many times not even any good for the illness they're meant to help. Talk about drug dealers. Just watch TV. Every other commercial is a druggie commercial.

I didn't read the fine print in my prescription but I am confident that I'm going to feel GREAT! This will be a step in the right direction!! Oh wait, why do I have severe blistering, peeling, and red skin rash;very stiff (rigid) muscles, high fever, sweating, fast or uneven heartbeats, tremors, overactive reflexes;nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, loss of appetite, feeling unsteady, loss of coordination; headache, trouble concentrating, memory problems, weakness, confusion, hallucinations, fainting, seizure, shallow breathing and breathing that stops.

And the doctors DO care. It's the patient who needs to take responsibility and carefully examine their bill when it comes. It's the ins. companies who tell the doctors what they can and cannot do plus they double and triple charge for things. Just like Obamacare will do! WOW. If you thought it was bad before...just wait.
