It will no doubt feel very good for the national Republican party in a few weeks when they probably take control of the House and gain a bunch of seats in the Senate.
Kind of like doing a line or two of cocaine does.
But in the long run, this election will come back to haunt the party. You see, the party continues to alienate pretty much everyone except for white folks by running on a strident anti-immigrant and anti-Muslim platform.
The demographics of America are changing drastically, as we all know. White America is fired up over being unemployed or under employed, and at having a black man as their boss. Propaganda outlets like Glenn Beck and Faux News have further whipped them up into a lather....
It's a midterm election, and only a minority of a minority of eligible voters ever vote in those in the USA...this time around it's the pissed off white folks.
Their numbers, fortunately, are dwindling.
