Ripper Movie Review: "The Social Network"

This author pays to see movies in the theater about one time every calendar year, normally after near universal acclimation that the movie is excellent, as was the case with "The Social Network."

Based on the book "The Accidental Billionaires", the movie did not disappoint; and indeed was thoroughly entertaining, thought provoking, and well crafted.

It goes over the creation of the Facebook website by turbo nerd Mark Zuckerberg in the early part of this decade while he was a student at Harvard.  Facebook, as we all know, is pretty much on its way to world domination, so the movie is obviously extremely topical.

What is much less known are the dynamics and controversy surrounding its creation: which involve genius, deceit, love, sex, drugs, destroyed friendships, and, obviously, jealousy....

Director Aaron Sorkin weaves all of these themes into a extremely fast moving, wildly enjoyable quilt that will have you feeling just a little differently every time you click on Facebook from now on...

Go see it.
